Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

no rating yet ♥ 3

A lighthouse of 1905 on the cape at Bolinao, the second highest in the country after Cape Bojeador. The tower stands 30.78 metres high on ground 107 metres above the sea, and a group of American, British and Filipino engineers built it.

Its first apparatus was third order equipment made in England, with the lantern sourced from France. Filipino mechanics later built a close replica to replace it. The light burned kerosene until the 1980s, when it was connected to the power grid.
