Street
Diego Cera Avenue
The old main road of the city and the spine of its historical corridor, with the Las Piñas Church, the Gabaldon Hall and the old district hospital along it. The road marks where the shore of Manila Bay ran in Spanish times. The water is now 400 to 600 metres to the west.
Before the Coastal Road opened in 1985, this was the highway between Manila and Cavite. It carries the name of Fray Diego Cera, the Spanish missionary who designed and built the Bamboo Organ in 1824.
