Zapote Bridge
A stone arch footbridge over the Zapote River, on the line between Las Piñas and Bacoor in Cavite. Two battles were fought here: the Battle of Zapote Bridge in 1897, between Filipino revolutionaries and the Spanish colonial government, and the Battle of Zapote River in 1899, between Filipino and American forces. Because of those events the National Historical Commission made the bridge a National Historical Landmark in 2013. A modern concrete bridge of the same name, part of Aguinaldo Highway, runs beside it and takes the vehicles.
