Cloud 9
The reef break that made Siargao's name, with a boardwalk and tower over the wave. Best from August to November. The waves brought General Luna its reputation as the surfing capital of the Philippines, and they draw national and international competitions.
Cloud 9 is on the World Surf League Championship Tour for 2026. The Siargao International Surfing Cup has run here since 1996 and joined the League's Qualifying Series in 2014. The tower off the coast is a single-storey platform for spectators. The first one went up in 2003 and stood three storeys until Typhoon Rai (Odette) destroyed it in 2021, and there are plans to renovate it in 2026.
