Mount Melibengoy

An active volcano in the highlands of T'Boli, with a lake in its crater called Lake Holon. It stands 30 kilometres west of General Santos and 44 kilometres south of Koronadal. The mountain was once called Parker, after an American general, Frank Parker, who saw it from a plane he was flying in 1934 and said he had discovered it. Later that year he led a party of American and Filipino officials up to the crater lake.
