About Luzon
Luzon is the big one. Largest island in the country, more than half its people, and where the capital, the money and most of the arguments live. Around 64 million people, from the rice plains of Central Luzon up into the Cordillera and down to the volcano country of Bicol, which is the only part of the island that cooks with real heat. Manila and Quezon City are both here, which tells you where the centre of gravity sits.
