The church that holds the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, patroness of the Bicol Region. It is one of the largest Marian pilgrimage sites in Asia, and the only basilica in Bicol and in the Archdiocese of Caceres.

It stands on the outskirts of the city. Each September the image is carried from here to the cathedral and back again, and on the feast day Pontifical High Masses in the basilica draw hundreds of thousands of devotees.
