A memorial on the site of Camp Pangatian, a military training camp of twenty years that the Japanese army turned into a prison camp for Allied captives. In January 1945 American forces and Filipino guerrillas raided the camp and freed the American prisoners. The film The Great Raid retells that operation.
Survivors of the Bataan Death March and of the camp itself dedicated the memorial on 12 April 1982. It holds a sundial, a memorial wall and a historical marker, and war veterans still come through the World War II Veterans' Homecoming Program. The site is in Barangay Pangatian on the Cabanatuan to Palayan road, eight kilometres north of the city proper.
