About Science City of Muñoz
Muñoz is officially the Science City of Muñoz, and the title is earned: Central Luzon State University and the Philippine Rice Research Institute are both here, which is a great deal of agricultural science for one small city. It began as Sitio Papaya and was renamed in 1886 for a Spanish governor. No other city in the country carries the word.
