About Pagagawan

Pagagawan is now officially Datu Montawal, renamed some years after it was carved out of Pagalungan in July 2000. The 2024 census counted 42,181 people in its eleven barangays, which makes it one of the larger towns of Maguindanao del Sur, whichever of the two names you happen to use.
