About Shariff Aguak
Shariff Aguak was Maganoy until the name changed, and it has spent far more time running Maguindanao than the law ever allowed it. It was the legal provincial seat only from 1973 to 1977, but governors who lived here worked the province from it through the 1980s and again in the 2000s.
