About Bayugan City
Bayugan is the only city in Agusan del Sur, which makes the contest for the province's largest settlement a short one. About 110,000 people live here, more than in any municipality around it. It took its charter from Republic Act 9405, and it remains the single place in the province with a city hall rather than a municipal one.
