About San Luis

San Luis was assembled in June 1968 out of five barrios taken from Esperanza, among them Santa Inez, Nuevo Trabajo and Baylo. Since the 1970s its economy has run largely on logging, which is the trade this part of Agusan del Sur was built on. Today it has 36,264 people in 25 barangays.
