About Bislig City

Tinuy-an Falls is why anyone drives out to Bislig, a broad curtain of water in the forest that the local tourism office happily calls the Niagara of the Philippines. The city is the largest settlement in Surigao del Sur, just under 100,000 people, and it took its charter in 2000. Tandag, further up the coast, is the capital and the smaller town.
