About Salay
Salay makes paper by hand from indigenous fibres, closer to Japanese washi than to anything off a machine, and sells the papercrafts that come of it. Lanzones is the other earner, with fishing and whatever trade runs through Poblacion, which the Capistrano family governed until the 2007 elections. About 31,100 people live in the town.
