About Pagadian City
Pagadian is the regional centre of the Zamboanga Peninsula, a job that would usually fall to the biggest city in the region. Not here: Zamboanga City is far larger but independent, so the seat lands on the capital of Zamboanga del Sur instead. The town climbs steeply back from the bay, steeply enough that its tricycles are built with tilted seats to cope.
