Marcela Agoncillo
Doña Marcela Mariño de Agoncillo was a Filipina who was the principal seamstress of the first and official flag of the Philippines, gaining her the title of "The Mother of the Philippine Flag."
Si Marcela Mariño Agoncillo ipinanganak sa Taal, Batangas noong Hunyo 24, 1859 kina Francisco Marino at Eugenia Coronel. Siya ang tinaguriang Ina ng Watawat ng Pilipinas, sinasabing kung ano daw ang ganda ng watawat ng Pilipinas. Tapat na may bahay ni Don Felipe Agoncillo. Sa Araw ng Asunción, Mayo 30, 1946; pinanawan ng buhay si Marcela Agoncillo, sa taong 86.
