Ramón Avanceña
Ramón Avanceña y Quiosay was a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He served from 1925 to 1941, when he resigned at the beginning of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II. He was from Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Si Ramon Avanceña y Quiosay ang pang-apat na Punong Mahistrado ng Kataas-taasang Hukuman ng Pilipinas. Ipinanganak siya noong ika-13 ng Abril taong 1872 at namatay noong ika-12 ng Hunyo taong 1957. Magsilbi siya mula 1925 hanggang 1941. Nagretiro siya nang malapit na ang pananakop ng mga Hapones. Di kalaunan ay nagsilbi siya bilang isa sa mga pangalawang pangulo ni Jose Laurel sa puppet na Ikalawang Republika.
