About Garcia Hernandez

This town was Sinugbuan until 1854, when the Spanish government in Manila split it off from Jagna and renamed it for two parish priests, Victor Garcia of Loay and Narciso Hernandez of Guindulman. The name has held for 170 years. About 24,450 people live here, 57 kilometres from Tagbilaran.
