About Inabanga

The Spanish census of 1818 counted 1,815 native families in Inabanga, and 41 Spanish-Filipino ones. The town has 49,133 people now, spread over 50 barangays, and keeps its fiesta on 29 and 30 June for Saint Paul. In 2017 it was the site of a firefight between Philippine security forces and Moro militants tied to the Abu Sayyaf.
