The town church, built from 1836 to 1848 in a classical Graeco-Roman style. Two bell towers stand on its facade, joined by a porch on two columns. The walls are coral stone. Inside are five gilded altars and a large round chandelier above the crossing. Fighting at the end of the Second World War destroyed much of the church, the convent and the parish records, but the facade came through and is still the original. The post-war repair lowered the roof, and two wings were later added to the nave.

The patron is Teresa of Avila and the fiesta falls on October 15. On that day in 2007 the church became an archdiocesan shrine, and for a year after that pilgrims could receive a plenary indulgence.
