Kawasan Falls
A three-stage cascade of turquoise water in the jungle of Cebu island. The largest fall drops about 40 metres, and the smaller cascades below it end in pools that people swim in. The water rises at the Kabukalan Spring and runs down the Kawasan gorge into the Matutinao River and the Tañon Strait. Visitors can also take a raft ride or dive from the cliffs.
The province closed the falls in 2023 and cancelled the permits of unlicensed canyoneering operators. Tours restarted in October 2023, after three months of repair work and training for guides. In June 2026 the province set aside 110 million pesos for more repair work and for safety measures.
