About Carigara

Carigara sells pastillas, cooks humba, forges sundang blades and makes a delicacy called hubhob, which is a decent haul for a town of 56,060 people. It was founded in 1571, the first town in Eastern Visayas, and it served as provincial capital after Leyte and Samar were split from Cebu in 1735.
