About Sogod

Sogod is the largest municipality in Southern Leyte, 48,815 people on the Pan-Philippine Highway about 126 kilometres south of Tacloban. Trade for the south-central part of Leyte passes through it, and both the main campus of Southern Leyte State University and Saint Thomas Aquinas College are here. Rugged mountains close in to the north, rivers run through the lowlands to the south.
