The Sagay Marine Reserve protects a set of coral reefs off the Negros Occidental coast, including Carbin Reef, Panal Reef and Macahulom Reef. Sagay City lists it as one of its main tourism attractions, along with nearby Molocaboc Island.

The city's coast also holds the Suyac Island Mangrove Eco-Park, another protected site on the same shoreline. Together these places make up much of what the city promotes to visitors, alongside its churches, museums and yearly festivals.
