A museum in the mansion of Victor Fernandez Gaston, son of the first Negrense sugar baron, Yves Leopold Germain Gaston. It shows how a sugar baron lived in the late 19th century. It was the first museum in the province of Negros Occidental, and it is the best known of the heritage mansions that Silay built when the sugar industry of Negros was at its height.
The house went up around 1900 and held Victor Gaston and his twelve children until he died in 1927. It is a bahay na bato, but the lower storey is concrete, not stone, and the roof is galvanized iron. The posts and the floorboards are balayong, a local hardwood. Ceilings stand four metres high, and under each large window is a ventanilla, a small window with sliding panels that lets the wind through. The museum closed in 2023 for major restoration, and the house went back to the Gaston family.
