About Silay City
Silay is the town that kept its old houses. More than thirty of them make up a national historical landmark, and the city has traded on the name Paris of Negros ever since, on the strength of its artists and cultural shows. Sugar money built all of it. The airport that serves Bacolod is here rather than in Bacolod, so most arrivals on Negros start in Silay.
