Panay Church
A coral block church at Panay that holds the largest church bell in the country. Juan Reina cast the bell in about 1884 out of sacks of coin the townspeople gave, and it weighs more than 10 tonnes.
The church itself went up in 1884, on the site of an earlier one that Miguel Murguia built in 1774 and the typhoon of 17 January 1875 wrecked. It is about 70 metres long, 25 metres wide and 18 metres high, and the walls are about 3 metres thick.
