Monastery
One of only two Trappist monasteries in the country, near the middle of the island. Trappists from the United States founded it on 31 August 1972. It became a priory in 1982 and an abbey in 1990, and Dom Kevin Lipasan is the abbot.
The shop sells the monks' own mango and pineapple jams under the Trappist Monastic Products name, and the money supports the community. The monastery also takes people in for retreats.
