About Quirino
Quirino is named for Elpidio Quirino, the sixth president, and was cut out of Nueva Vizcaya in 1966, which makes it one of the younger provinces in the country. It is landlocked, six towns, at the southern end of the Cagayan Valley, and about 211,000 people, which puts it among the least populated provinces on Luzon. Cabarroguis is the capital, though Diffun has more people.
