Maragondon Church
A Roman Catholic parish church that the National Museum declared a National Cultural Treasure. Its full name is Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, and it serves the town of Maragondon under the Diocese of Imus.
Franciscans from Silang set up the first mission here in 1611, and the Jesuits founded the parish in 1690. The church held Andres Bonifacio and his brother Procopio after their court-martial on May 4, 1897, until May 10, when they were executed in the Maragondon mountain range. The house where the trial took place still stands in the town.
