Strawberry Farm, La Trinidad
Rows you can pick yourself in season, with a row of stalls selling jam, wine and taho at the gate. It is a working farm first, planted for the strawberry crop, and open to visitors alongside the picking. La Trinidad, the provincial capital, is known for its strawberry farms and its flower farms.
Benguet State University owns the 79.49 hectares in Barangay Betag and leases small lots of 500 to 1,000 square metres to local farmers. About 660 of them worked the ground in 2018, for an average yearly harvest of 1,775 metric tons. The town holds a Strawberry Festival every March. The Benguet Tourism Office counts the farm as the most visited place in the province.
