About Banaue
Banaue, sometimes spelled Banawe, holds two of the terrace clusters on the UNESCO World Heritage list, at Batad and at Bangaan. They are cut into the mountainsides of Ifugao and still farmed. Only about 20,100 people live in the town, which is small for a place that so much of Philippine tourism imagery leans on.
