Mount Data
A mountain of 2,310 metres on the border of Benguet and Mountain Province, about 100 kilometres north of Baguio and reached from the Halsema Highway. Pine forest and mossy oak forest cover the slopes. It has been a national park since 1936, and the park was enlarged to 5,513 hectares in 1940.
Five major rivers rise inside it, the Chico, Ahin, Siffu, Abra and Amburayan, and the Agno River starts here too and runs down through Benguet. Towns in Mountain Province, Benguet and Ifugao draw water from the same reserve. The government of the Philippines and the Cordillera People's Liberation Army signed the Mount Data Peace Accord on the mountain in 1986.
