About MIMAROPA Region
Palawan carries most of the visitors this region ever sees, from El Nido and Coron down to the underground river at Puerto Princesa. Mimaropa is the other acronym: Mindoro split in two, plus Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. Marinduque puts on Moriones at Easter, Romblon has been quarrying marble for generations, and no part of it borders another region by land, because everything here is an island.
