About Region XIII (Caraga)
Caraga is known abroad for one wave on one island, because Siargao and Cloud 9 are in Surigao del Norte. The rest of it is Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur and the Dinagat Islands, with Butuan as the regional centre and the place the oldest boats in the country were dug out of the mud. Much of the nation's nickel and a large share of its timber come from here.
