Langun-Gobingob Cave

no rating yet ♥ 3

Twelve major caves inside the Samar Island Natural Park, counted as the largest cave system in the country. The 2,968 hectares hold Langun, Gobingob, Lurodpon and Bitong Mahangin among others, and the whole system is also called Calbiga Cave. Underground rivers run through chambers wide enough to hold a small community, past stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones, rimstone pools and sharp limestone spikes.

You go in on a guided tour, which means river crossings, a trek and caving. Wear protective gear: the passages are slippery, the ground is uneven and the rock is sharp.
