Island resort
About three kilometers off the coast of Barangay Cadiz Viejo, Lakawon Island is reachable by boat from the mainland. Its white sand draws local visitors who come for a day at the beach or an overnight stay at the island resort.
Cadiz City promotes its coastline and marine resources as part of its identity as a farming and fishing center on Negros Occidental. Lakawon remains one of the few resort islands close enough for a short trip from the city.
