About Cadiz City
For a few months in the 1980s Cadiz was a provincial capital, until the Supreme Court declared Negros del Norte unconstitutional on 18 August 1986 and the city went back to being one town among many on the northern coast. It sells itself now on fish and farmland, and the official slogan about agro-fishery resources is a long way of saying boats and cane.
