About La Carlota City
La Carlota is sugar country from end to end, an inland city in the cane districts on the western side of Kanlaon, built around its old mill. It is also the least populous city in Negros Occidental, about 67,700 people, which says something about how cityhood works here: the charter comes first and the size can follow later.
