About Camaligan

Camaligan holds the oldest known pre-colonial site in Bicol, dated between 500 and 600 AD, and it has still not been formally declared an archaeological zone. The town turned urban through the 1990s and now packs about 25,200 people into 13 barangays. It is not Camalig in Albay.
