About Palanas
Palanas takes the stretch of eastern Masbate coast between Dimasalang and Cataingan, with 24 barangays and about 28,100 people in them. That is mid-sized by Masbate standards, which means small by most others. It is one of the twenty municipalities of the province, and not the one anybody names first.
