Paracelis is divided into nine barangays, the fewest in Mountain Province, and still holds about 30,100 people, second only to Bauko. The built-up part sits on the west side of town, a basin of low hills and flat ground ringed by mountains. Nearly two thirds of residents are counted as rural.
