About Lingayen
Lingayen is the capital of Pangasinan and still a municipality rather than a city, which is unusual for a provincial seat of 108,510 people. The gulf outside carries its name, and in January 1945 the Allied landings that opened the campaign to retake Luzon came ashore here.
