Apo Reef Natural Park
A coral reef park in the middle of the Mindoro Strait, west of the province. The shallow reefs there are dangerous to shipping, so a light station went up on Bajo Apo Island inside the park to warn ships off them.
The first tower there was the tallest lighthouse tower ever built in the Philippines: 36 metres of iron skeleton around a central cylinder, with a lantern room above two levels of gallery. Apo island, also inside the reef, is about 0.8 kilometres long.
