About Occidental Mindoro
The tamaraw lives nowhere on earth except Mindoro, and what is left of it is mostly inside Mounts Iglit-Baco in Occidental Mindoro, a few hundred animals under guard. Divers come for Apo Reef, the largest coral reef in the country, off the same coast. Mamburao is the capital, San Jose has the most people, and Sablayan alone covers close to half the province.
