Bahay na Tisa
The oldest building still standing in Pasig, a historic house whose name means house of clay tiles. Don Cecilio Tech y Cabrera built it in 1846 and it came through the Second World War. Under martial law it was known as the Freedom House, where groups both against and for Marcos met. It later served as the headquarters of Barangay San Jose, and Catholics keep the Santo Niño de Pasion here. The National Museum of the Philippines named it an Important Cultural Property on February 19, 2020, and the city government had given it the Dangal ng Lahi recognition in 2009. The Tech family still owned the house in 2020.
