About Surigao del Norte

Cloud 9 off Siargao is the surf break that put this province on the map, and Bucas Grande next door holds Sohoton Cove, where the jellyfish in the lagoon do not sting. Surigao City is the capital and the port most travellers pass through on the way out. The province also keeps a corner of the Mindanao mainland, and only joined Caraga in 1995.
