About Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN)
Soccsksargen is the least pronounceable region name in the country, assembled from South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos. Koronadal is the regional centre, but General Santos is the bigger city and the tuna capital, which is where the money went. Inland it is farming country, with Lake Sebu and the T'boli weavers who make the abaca cloth called t'nalak.
