About Corella

The Philippine tarsier, all eyes and no bigger than a fist, is why anyone drives the ten kilometres northeast from Tagbilaran to Corella. The Philippine Tarsier Foundation runs a 7.4-hectare sanctuary for it in barangay Canapnapan, three kilometres east of the town centre. The town of 9,889 may be named after a Corella in Navarre, in northern Spain.
